Justine Wilding (10/5/1827 - 11/10/1876)

History of Justina Windorf Berend Luppold Wilding.

Justina was born 10/5/1827 and died 11/10/1876.  She was my great-grandmother and is buried in the old St. Paul’s Church cemetery bordered by my farm and the farm with the white fences.  The Weber and Luppold and Henry Wilding tombstones are in St. Anthony’s Church cemetery at Case, Missouri.  The others are in the current St. Paul’s Church cemetery.

I only know bits and pieces.  She married a Berend, had children, was widowed and with no way to support her children married again.  This second marriage was to a Luppold and from this marriage she added Frances Luppold Weber (12/7/1923 – 12/7/1923)  who married Edward Weber (10/11/1848 – 1/16/1927) and John Luppold 3/8/1859 – 12/19/1938.  He is referred to as Uncle John on page 15 of “Clem Wilding’s Life as a Bird Carver".  John Luppold was Uncle John, he never married, but led an interesting life.

She was again widowed with more children and no way to take care of them.  As I understand, at this time women could not legally own land.  On April 9, 1860 she married Eimart Wilding (5/16/1821 – 2/2/1904).  This marriage produced 4 boys.  The birth and death dates are visible on the tombstones.

The oldest child, Herman, was born when Justine was 33 and the last, Edward, was born when she was 43.  Herman married Anna Pfautsch, Henry married Frances Nolte, Joseph married Mary Eng, and Edward married Mary Lauer.

She died when Edward was 6 years old, and I know Eimart lived with Edward when Eimart died, and possibly he always lived with him before and after the other boys married.

This is the only picture I remember seeing of Eimart. He died in 1904 - which means he attended the same church I do for roughly 17 years.
